He'd stayed in the hotel room, a mock up of a young boy's room complete with bean bags and twin bed, from the moment he'd left Jack's, until about... oh, ten minutes ago? It was a long time to be cooped up in one place, but room service and free com access more than made up for the isolation. Apparently freedom was a lot like captivity, self imposed though it was.
But whatever, the room was only paid for for one more night anyway. He either needed to grow a pair and go find Neil, or find a way to make some quick cash.
The latter won ou,t of course, and by seven-thirty Logan was clearing and cleaning tables at Loretta's. It was just for a few nights while they were short staffed, but Logan didn't mind. Money was money after all, and hidden under the think stubble that was almost a beard now, no one even gave him a second look. He was Ryan Lester Smith, no one special or important, and other than the two older gentlemen in the corner booth who'd taken to leering at him anytime he leaned over to wipe down a table, no one could have cared less about him.
And that? Well, that was real freedom. For the first time in his life, he didn't have to be Aaron Echolls' son.
(Feel free to recognize him, but don't expect him to let you drag him home. XD)
