It was late when his com started buzzing, and Logan had been fast asleep before the vibration setting caused it to bounce right across his nightstand. He'd been having earlier and earlier nights lately, having found that his bed was one of the few places he felt totally relaxed and comfortable still.
Reaching out, he pawed around blindly for the com, swearing when he managed to knock it to the floor. Giving in, he put the lights on as dim as they'd go, and dangled off the bed as he snatched it up from the floor and pressed the green button.
"Hello?" he mumbled, voice dry as he rubbed sleep from his eyes.
"Nothin'. I'm kinda, uh... Down on the street, right outside your place," I say, something like a wince in my voice. "I can come back later, I was just, you know..."
Around? Not exactly. I shrug, even though he obviously can't see it.
