I'm ALIIIIIIVE! How everyone is doing in this busy busy period of the year? My second semester is killing me, I had nearly done all the requests but then Uni came and destroyed my motivation and inspiration. So you'll need to wait a little more for these ;_;

BUT the lovely nightbulbs and I did a battle about RED ICONS because we both love them so much, so

Wooow, this post looks absolutely gorgeous. So much beautiful red and the both of you made so many gorgeous icons. Sadly, they're mostly not of my fandoms, but I still can't stop staring. I for instance love your Lost icon, wow. The use of text is amazing and I love how you managed to keep the quality high on his face. Also the Gandalf icon is beautiful. Amazing use of text and background- the icon just pops and I can't stop staring at it. And wow to the first two icons, just beautiful!

Anyway, I think red is such a hard color to work with and I admire both of you for creating so many gorgeous icons with it! My favorites (from you, I'm going to head over to nightbulbs' in a second^^) are 1, 5 and 13. The composition of these is amazing. I also like the negative space of 4 and more simple look of 14 :)

For the Doctor Who icon, it is indeed a paint brush (that I use for everything lately ahah... it's the same as my blue captain america userpic :') ) with this texture!
