I'm in'a Sandy Hurricane path, but I'm not worried. Well no. I am worried. I am worried about the kitty-cats who live in the woods and brush near my house. They won't let people near them, or else I would've taken them inside and not let them out until the storm ends.
I need to remember this- when I make my first substantial $$ as a funeral director, I want to build a little hollow shelter in the woods where the kitty-cats sometimes hang out. Something dug into the side of the big slope, with chicken wire reinforcement support for the "ceiling" portion. I know there are some hollows like that in the slope (hidden) but I want to make another one, a kind of bigger one.
Hopefully there're more people out there like the person who mentioned trying to find places for the local ferals to stay, over on ONTDC... and if that's the case, they should be okay.
I get the feeling they've probably got a good idea of where humans with cat or dog doors in their garages live, and will be heading there to ride out the storm. Jimmy II appeared to invite some of the community cats to ride out tornado-level thunderstorms in our garage more than once... I swear he was a local feline Don or something.
