This is wonderful. In a way, it hurt to read, because you describe Sherlock's pain so vividly and it made me want to comfort him. But I'm so glad that everything's okay in the end and that John's there to look after him and take care of him; I love these explorations of the relationships in Sherlock's life, the ones that didn't work out and the one that did - and more than that, the way you make him so vulnerable and fallible. Gorgeous stuff.

Oh, thank you so much. For a story like this, it's a compliment that it hurt to read. I love exploring Sherlock's relationships too (obviously!) because for all that he tries to claim not to care, he's only human and he's as vulnerable as the rest of us.
