A Quartz contentment, like a stone

Prepare yourself for one of my most eyebrow-raising posts yet. I have a few thoughts...

Has anyone seen the movie What Dreams May Come? To sum up, brushing over all other little story lines, it is about a man (Robin Williams) who dies and goes to heaven. Later, his wife, suffering from the pain of being without her soul mate, commits suicide and ( Read more... )

Oh. Yes, I meant that I don't really understand how judgement really works. It really is a fine line between being accountable and not, you know? I know God knows what He's doing but people who I know whose opinions I value just seem so certain.

And I don't support suicide, either. I think that one (even when it seems impossible) should keep trying. But you said exactly what I feel. Sometimes you can understand people who commit it.

I'm not really sure what exactly I was trying to say. That movie always puts me into a pensive mood, so... Yeah. Haha. Talking about life and death, heaven and hell, all of that is just way too deep for me. Am I making any sense?

You are making sense. Don't you worry :)
I'm sure god will judge right. I hope so.
Yes, that movie always makes me thoughtful as well. Somehow I like it but on the other hand it's kinda depressing or I don't know =/
And I could talk and discuss about life and death etc forever lol

Haha, thank you! Sometime what I'm thinking is hard to say or type, you know?
The movie always makes me cry at the scene where Robin Williams meets his daughter for the first time after she died! And I can never watch the hell scenes. They freak me out!

Wow, I really like that passage. And I think it's a good thing to question. I mean, better that you think things out for yourself, right? I guess I don't know anything about how God judges people, or if he does. It's just so complicated for me.

It's a really fabulous book. You should read it sometime!

And I think you're right about questioning. Does God want robotic drones that passively follow Him without thinking for themselves? So I think it's good to question what is "known".
