I've been out here in the mundane world - my fannish/slash goggles don't work without you guys powering them. I poked my head back onto LJ two days ago and wham, all systems are go.

Ah I see. Yeah Loki kind of took fandom by storm but i guess one could miss it without hanging out in fannish space.

Sorry for the confusion, Journey into Mystery isn't a fanfic, it's an official comic book series that just recently wrapped up. It has Loki as an innocent kid version of himself (after getting intentionally killed so to set this up) trying to change / show that he can change. It's brilliant.

There are a lot of fanfics I could point you thought!! I posted some post Thor movie fic recs here, and a general intro to the fandom here (also pre Avengers), and miscelleanous superheroes fanvid recs that included a few Loki ones here; and a mix of meta & fanfics recs here.

So .... I've now seen Avengers and Thor and all that (well, not all that).

Three things:

1. Loki rocks (there's a Random-esque, or Mordred-esque, flavor to him that I like). The love/hate dynamic between him and a very attractive Thor is excellent.
2. The guy playing him is pretty, and is good, but I think Richard Armitage in that role would have been even better.
3. My pick for "Sheesh, is that dude hot, or what?" goes to Hawkeye.
