We already talked to our boss to inform him that we would not be extending our contract anymore. So by February or March next year, I will be going home. The first of four movies for the Rebuild of Evangelion will be shown as the closing film at the Pusan International Film Festival. I got really excited as I learned about the news because the event is something I could attend. I am planning to go at the last day of the festival to watch it. Last August 19, I went to Heong-beopsa Temple with my partner, Odz and two other English teachers to attend a Korean Traditional Dyeing Event. It was Zoe, the English teacher who told us about the event and invited us. It was not really difficult to do since all we ever did was drop the cloths on the prepared dyes. Summer is here in Korea and that means people would be flocking to the BEACH. There are 3 famous beaches here in Busan: Haeundae, Gwangalli and Songjeong. We went to Gwangalli yesterday (July 31) where we were lucky enough to watch the Busan International Beach Dance Festival.  This coming Friday, we are planning to go to Haeundae. Here is a pic to ( Read more... )

I heard about this rock festival as I was watching a program on TV. I was not really minding it until I heard the name of L'Arc-en-Ciel as one of the bands who will perform for it. I wonder why even if I am not really busy, I can't seem to find the time to do everything I want. There are so many things I need to do but I always end up without accomplishing anything. The university I am at just finished their 4-day celebration of University Festival. I am really suprised at how Korean students celebrate this event. From early afternoon to late evening, most students would be seen drinking soju and eating side dishes. By midnight, there were so many drunk students all around campus.

May 24, 2007 was Buddha's 2551 Birthday and it is a National Holiday in Korea so we have no classes. We were supposed to go to a bookstore but my companions invited us to go to a Buddhist Temple. There was so many people on the way to Beomosa Temple (one of the most famous temples in Busan) that it took as an hour from the bus stop to the temple ( Read more... )

We were invited to join the tour to Seoul but my partner and I decided not to go. All of the exchange students took part in it but we opted to stay behind. Why? We just did not feel like going.
