The birth

I've been thinking about when Tristan is born. What am I supposed to do with Dorian? I'll either have to make a fast friend in the ward or I'll have to make Melodie drop everything and drive all the way over from Riverton. It would be cool if she could stay with us for the week I'm due. But she has her grandmother to take care of and she has a ( Read more... )

When are you due exactly? I'll ask Liz and get back to you. I'll try to call you up later this week.

I haven't talked to Liz yet. I was thinking that if you really want her to come out, you might offer to pay for her flight. It's a lot of money for her to fly here, plus she'll be missing work while she's here. I don't think she'd be able to afford it on her own.

You should probably talk to your Relief Society President as soon as you move in and let her know what's going on. There are always awesome RS sisters willing to babysit and bring in meals. That way if no one can make it out you have plans in place. I'm sure that even if you go into labor at 3AM there would be a sister willing to help you by watching Dorian.

Have you asked your mom or sisters yet about one of them coming out to help? I'm sure they'd love the chance to spend time with you and the boys.

We can't afford to pay her flight. You're right- It's rude to ask her to come out and not be willing to pay her way. Don't ask her.

My mom can't leave dad alone because of his disibility. Besides, she has the RV park to run and she just started going back to college. She won't have the time. And my sister doesn't really get along with my husband. Putting them under the same roof would be a nightmare.

I should just ask the Relief Society. I guess that is my best bet.
