If you ever are able to, I'd recommend checking Sony Sound Forge programs out, if you want to get into audio editing. I'm fond of Sound Forge 7 & 8 myself..

Audio Studio and Sound Forge 8 are the two that I have worked with, CD Architect.. no idea how that works compared to the others. Though SSF AS and SSF8 come as free 30-day trials I've found ways to reset the counter on it. So really, its "free".

There are other programs that Sony offers, such as ACID Pro 6, which is described as a "loop-based" music composition software. Its pretty neat, though a bit complicated. Sound Forge 8 has the ability to create these 'loops' for ACID 6.

please do sound editing, or something technical like that when I'm in a band we won't have pay out our asses to sound good, and in exchange, i'll show you how to play guitar so you won't have to pay out your ass for a once or twice a week teacher.
