It's the Military life
Karen and I are in the middle of making plans to see Michael and Buck for July 4th. We have the hotel rooms reserved for two nights, figuring out what all we need to take with us for them, etc. All is well. Then, Michael has a meeting with Captain Hare (their Commanding Officer), and he tells me he'll call back when that's finished. So I'm waiting

my michael tells me that i need to get used to the army not caring about families. i guess i need to but i dont have to like it. the army owns the boys and we cant do anything about it. atleast you have wife status and not girlfriend. the officers might actually listen to you!
