I don't know where this story came from really, but I wish I could tap into that place more often. And you are quite correct, this is my seasonal story, composed well ahead of Christmas so I haven't grown annoyed and bitchy about it all, as I tend to do under the avalanche of advertisements. It was nice leaving them unequivocally happy for once.

You really got me on the run-on sentences, too. You know what this means, right? You're on the list now.

Next time I do a beta appreciation story, you'll be credited. Of course, I'll have abused the knowledge that you're good at it unmercifully by then.

Ooooh, the list. *feels accomplished*

I may abuse you back. Just so you know. One can never have too many betas, right?

I feel I should only be allowed to read this when I am done betaing :P

That's up to you, but get the download while you can. I have no idea how long sendspace will keep it up and it was a bitch loading it with dial up.

Besides, you get the story for all the other times you've beta-ed too, you know.

Betas don't get enough love, just emails saying, 'where is it, I want it now'.

I shall use it as my reward. Nothing like a bit of Pavlovian classical conditioning to get one's betas behaving correctly in the morning. Or er, the brain to do things faster.

Pfft!

Well, I'll download the upload when I return home from the land of employment. Whilst I think it would be delightful to play it to the students, I fear my superiors whilst amused, will also make sure I am never in a position to be on desk again.

This is a wonderful team fic. I love how you keep Teyla and Kanaan together and that Ronon has found someone for himself, just as John and Rodney have finally been able to find each other. It's absolutely wonderful that they are all able to find a safe haven in which to live and that they are happy. Fabulous that they are all the parents to Torren. Good on Keller for getting them out. And Ljósver and its people are fabulous. Really rich culture that you drop us into.

I don't go into it, but in my mind this is a world where all sorts of family arrangements are accepted. Whatever works for people. It's cold outside, baby, and it takes more than two to make it. It's another reason the team stays on Ljósver. No one thinks there's anything odd about the way they stick together.

Okay, truth, I just can't stand the thought of breaking up the team and I'd never break up Teyla and Torren and Kanaan.

(And wow, I'm trying to think of any stories that really develop Kanaan and integrate him and not coming up with any.)
