It was a good day

One of the things I can do now is have a dog again. That's a lot nicer than the other thing I got to do that I couldn't while taking care of Mom: get the flu. That sucked. No, it slimed, it was really miserable, though I'm done with it now except for lingering exhaustion ( Read more... )

Peggy would wave a paw and cock her head. She's a German Shepherd, so her ears are still tipping over and it's horrifyingly cute. I suspect drug addiction might have been a cheaper choice than a puppy; I want to get her every toy and treat possible.

Sooty, you wouldn't even see, but I'm sure she appreciates the hello. It is possible to be even more antisocial than I am. She's proof.

Aw, so happy for you. I recently took in my mom's little dog, and he has brightened my life immensely. :-)

I missed having a dog. I think the last two years have been the only period of my life when I didn't have one or live in a household with one.

Not that I don't adore Sooty. Poor thing. I inherited her from my dad and she was my stepmother's before she passed away. It's no wonder she doesn't like any change.

Pets really do brighten up your life.

I love my cats, and I'd be sad to be catless, but being dogless is unthinkable. So glad you have a canine companion again. :-)
