What kind of puppy is Peggy and how old is she? My dog had a strong prey drive by 9 weeks of age, and I've been dealing with it ever since. ;-)

I saw that article on earlier today. I confess, it makes me a little uneasy. Coyotes have always been extremely adaptable and resourceful. Bigger, bolder, and stronger is a bit worrisome.

Peggy sounds a delight, and I'm glad her training is progressing so well. There isn't anything like a well trained dog, and of course, most dogs I've known have loved having a job. In the case of my little dog Casey, it was patrolling the backyard of a suburban home, but he took it very seriously.

Thank you for the link to that article! Wow. I hadn't heard anything about that. I've seen coyotes in my backyard right here in my little retirement community, and I've seen bear scat by the creek; that's enough excitement for me.

I saw a really interesting documentary about Coywolves and how they're colonizing urban spaces--office parks, the wooded verges and center islands of highways, etc. Nature always finds a way....
