spring in my yard

Sometimes I love my homestate and where I live. I don't love my home town, but that's a different story about people and not climate. I don't live there any more so it doesn't matter, anyway.

I followed the link from Redrover's LJ to find this and I'm so glad I did. Totally made my day :)

The whole thing with the Navel ring was too funny.

I'm drooling over the thought of Sark in that disguise.

Thank you for posting :)

Oh, you're welcome. I've done my part in maintaining pool of Sark related drool this week, I think.

Ha ha ha!

I came over to read on Redrover1980's recommendation ... I actually had some time for a short fic today at lunch!

It was very different from anything I've read, and very fun and sweet. I'll have to go read "Bad Wigs" et al. now.

Thanks for the enjoyment!

Auburn, I read 'Bad Wigs...' a long time ago, when I was looking for some humourous Sarkney and I was so disappointed when it wasn't finished! And now...you had more to it? Wow, they were amazing! I totally loved this little part; it was beyond hilarious. I love the idea of Sark, Syd and Weiss all drunk and...drugged together, watching the CIA part become much more interesting. Hee!

I have to say, I've really loved reading your works. I read 'A Kiss Before Lying' right after "Crossings" and I found it to be so realistic. I've also read your 'Cities' arc and boy, I am so amazed at how well you're able to get into Sark's head. Seriously, reading your fics has totally influenced my own works. I like the darkness you write, but when you do humour, like this one, you still have the same genius. I wish I could really really tell you how great you are, but I seem to come up short.

The best praise I can give is please keep writing. Whatever you do...I want to read it. Thanks for sharing.

Writing seems terribly addictive. I doubt I could stop now without resorting to hypnotherapy or something. Really, it's a cheap habit compared to cigarettes or dope, I figure, and I get to exorcise all those nasty dark impulses on fictional characters.

I'm totally flummoxed by the thought of being an 'influence' though. Ah, a good one, I hope? Anyway, thank you for the really nice things you said, it didn't seem like coming up short to me.

I just love you. eL Oh Vee eE

You got the biggest sueak out of me with this: "There are several mirrored surfaces in SD-6's offices, Sydney. I've seen you watching my arse," Sark replied.

Or, perhaps, this: Weiss slung an arm over Sark's shoulders. "That's cool."

That is so cool.

Otherwise you're an evil brilliant woman because an evil brilliant woman could come up with something like this -- They probably had rubber guns they took in the bath with them instead of duckies. -- and have me splutter my pepsi all over my keyboard. And it's NOT a figure of speech! I have a bottle of pepsi on my desk and I'll have you know that it's a brand new keyboard!!!

I'm ready to take all the blame you ever need to lay on me.

Terribly sorry about the pepsi and the keyboard. It was a splutter and not a spill, I hope?

I was rather taken with the rubber guns line, myself. Well, that and Julie Julian Andrews.

Wonders off, innocently singing These are a few of my favorite things ...

Late to the party, but oh holy god, I laughed my ass off at this. Thank you! Just what I needed. Too much to quote, but I loved the interaction with Weiss, it was so cute and funny and cool - I can totally see Sark spouting off some movie quote, and Weiss catching it. Your Sark is just so perfect I could eat him up with a spoon.

This is the kind of Sarkney that leaves me all warm and fuzzy and feels very right. You can write in this verse any time you want, it's always a pleasure to read. You're the best. Thanks!
