The fact that he didn't even need Auspex to read Eden sometimes made the Cainite even prouder.
Eden reached across the table and took Rémy's hand, holding it gently and watching their fingers for a moment. He brushed his thumb over Rémy's knuckles, drawing in a slow breath and then looking up to meet Rémy's eyes.

Remy inhaled a mouthful of latte and gasped, coughing and setting his cup down quickly to keep from dropping it and thus burning himself.

Remy put his glasses back on, and smiled weakly at Eden. "Mister Frost, I don't think I am ready. I mean. I don't mean any disrespect, you know that. But. I just. I just got married, and I want to have a child ( ... )

"Are we going home? Right now?"
Eden's smile turned warm, his affection for his ghoul showing clearly. "Oh darling, I didn't mean tonight," Eden gave the softest laugh, then grew a little serious again, back to business. "You will have two weeks to really decide. Two weeks to live and soak up as much waking life as you can. Do not miss a single sunrise or sunset, hold your Ryan, taste all your favorite foods. Live and breathe and commit everything to memory ( ... )
