Some would argue that altruism is a human made concept that isn't found in the natural world. I have a book for you if you'd like to learn more.

Also realize that you are young, busy and in school. Sometimes people can get lost in taking care of others and not take care of themselves. Doing things for others is all well and good, but make sure you do things for yourself too.
