I nearly burned my house down last night. Well... maybe it wasn't that close, but I have the burned fingers to prove it.
So in explanation of that lighthearted opening I give you... **ominous music**
Lessons learned yesterday:
(1) I cannot scream louder than the smoke detector.
(2) Smoke clears out of a one bedroom apartment in about 20 minutes with all windows and doors open.
(3) The average 9-Volt battery only lasts for about 6 minutes in a smoke detector when going off continuously.
(4) Throwing it against the wall doesn't shut off previously stated item.
(5) It's true- smoke rises.
And once again I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy inside that I'm living on my own. My neighbors hate me.
