this job is not hard. it does not take brain power. it does not take skill. the only and i do mean the only thing difficult about this job is staring at a stupid computer for more than an hour without your brain exploding. way to solve that problem? only work an hour at a time, take a break, come back to it. it is NOT hard. i cannot cannot cannot

Uh. I know what you mean about not being able to map more than an hour at a time. EV/PW *do* need to start seting required # of hours for employees because mapping is NOT something you want to come in and do.

I keep telling Kari she should go in to work or quit. Not that you'd see her anyway since she's still at PW.

Well, you do get paid more than them, in part b/c you're older, and in part b/c you're smart and I figured that out right off. So in that sense, you are at least a little bit their superior....

I mostly only like to hire people who can figure out what they're doing right away b/c I'm with you in thinking that a lot of it is tediously easy. I didn't pick any of the other people you're currently working with... (I did pick you, not because I knew up front you could hack it, but b/c your sister's recommendation goes a long way around here - she's the best employee I've ever had.) I also think a few times I've had people act like they understand how tediously easy it is right off and then it turns out no, they did not get it, nor do they actually care to try to get it....

I'm almost done with the one I took home. Yeah, the whole thing. :)

thanks man! you might add that I also worked there for 5 years, and was terrible and had no clue what I was doing for at least the first 2... :)

You should come visit us at PW on a weekday when you're here - I'll even take you guys out to lunch if you want. I'm gonna be in Evanston singing at St. Luke's Episcopal all weekend so I'm not gonna get to see you then. Mopity, mope mope. Sad panda. :(
