something i dont understand

ok, i'm venting and have no intention of offending anyone. just so that's said:
it is so strange to me that bob's family doesn't "get together."
i've just been thinking about it lately since ellen and kyle are in town.. we go see my parents all the time and when uncle john is actually home we hang out with him some, but since ellen and kyle are here

man, that sucks about being excluded! I would feel the same way you do. my family is so close, and we just plain like hanging out with each other. we always miss each other when we're not there, like you said. I know when I find a guy/get married, etc, they're gonna welcome him in and definitely make him one of the family... it's good to remember not to take that for granted! thanks for the reminder. :)

I guess it's always weird, trying to learn another family's style and dysfunctions... we get so used to our families, and no one really sits you down and gives you a manual on how the new family works! :)

haha yeah exactly! how great would it be to have a manual?!! but yeah it's hard.. it just takes some time to get used to it i guess. like bob doesn't even notice or care because he's used to life being that way, but yeah having a close and wonderful family is such ablessing!! :)
