Her lips slide down his throat in feathery kisses, cool marble against granite. Her sweet breath tickles his skin; his lips yearn for hers.
Deft fingers work the button of his shirt, deft tongue taste the skin of his collarbone. His breath catches and his heart seems to speed up (almost). Her hands map the contours of his chest.
Her hair spills over his neck, flooding him, drowning him with her scent. Her powder blue dress rides up her thighs; his fingers flex against the smooth, exposed flesh. Pale lips dance down his chest.
One, two, three kisses to his skin, directly above where his heart had once been. Golden eyes, normally twinkling, peer up at him deviously; a smirk comes to her mouth. Her thoughts sound fuzzy in his ears, like a radio station he can’t tune in to.
White teeth, exposed in a beautifully frightening way, glisten in the moonlight. Her angel’s face has changed, twisted; a dark humor shadows it. He’s never seen her quite so attractive, or quite so terrifying.
She reminds him of what he is.
Her teeth graze his skin tenderly; a low growl fills the room (source unknown). And slowly, quickly, like a lover, like a vampire, she bites him.
His eyes widen as her teeth sink into his flesh, lovingly, delicately, just long enough for the venom to slip into his body.
She pulls back slowly, running her tongue over her teeth. The crescent on his chest shimmers gently, stinging as her venom mixes with his.
Wide eyes slowly meet hers. She places a soft kiss over the bite.
“Because you’re mine,” she whispers, tracing his jaw, his neck, his chest, his crescent scar. “Now I’ll always be closest to your heart.”
And even as a thousand years pass, this is the only truth that remains.
