I was bored today, so I decided to try something. I've seen a couple people do this already and it sounded like such a cool idea that I wanted to try it out for myself. What am I talking about?

Thinking and Vague are both Toph/Sokka from Avatar: the Last Airbender.

It's so cool hearing someone read a fic out loud; it sounds totally different, for some reason. In a good way.

My favorite was definitely 'Thinking.' I think that's the perfect kind of fic for reading aloud like this.

Also, on a totally random note, you have a very clear speaking voice. I imagine you're good at drama? :D

I know! It's really fun because when I'm reading fic, I always have to say the lines I like the best out loud. And it's always cool when the author does it because then you can hear the inflections in their voice and understand a little bit more of where they were coming from.

Yeah, Thinking was definitely fun to do. Sokka is such a fun character, especially when you get inside his head... :D

Haha, thanks! I'm actually not much into acting myself, but I am in choir and show group, so that might be why. I've been taught to enunciate at all costs. xD

Exactly. :D So you can clarify certain points and emphasize others, while doing awesome impressions of the characters when it comes to direct speech (Sokka's attempt at nonchalance was hilarious, btw.)

That's why the audio version of Thinking was so cool. You can really hear how much Sokka is squirming inside with this one. I do enjoy. :D And yeah, Sokka is without a doubt the funniest character to write. BECAUSE YOU KNOW HE THINKS ALONG THOSE LINES SOMETIMES. AND IT WOULD FREAK HIM OUT. AND THAT IS JUST PLAIN AMUSING.

Now just to try to convince the author of Hide and Seek to read out her fic aloud in its entirety. >_>

Ah, I see. Cool! I read aloud at a pace that would probably not amuse choir instructors or the like. xD

I didn't even mean to lower my voice for Sokka, and yet I still did. Haha, yes, Sokka's attempt at nonchalance. He's such a fun character and he has a great voice.

That's why it was so fun to write, too! I can just see the look on Sokka's face as this runs through his head... I can totally see him reacting to the things inside his head and then getting weird looks from everyone else, too. Like, he just randomly starts blushing and stuttering when Toph comes by and no one knows quite why... BUT WE DO. WE KNOW.

It's actually really weird listening to myself on these and hearing what I sound like to other people. That's not what I sound like to myself. xD
