The front is a standard wife beater.
I've got a drawer full of them...too boring to be worn on their own.
Experimentation shall ensue.

So does the yarn part connect to regular wife beater straps in the front?

It looks so awesome though! What an awesome way to combine your sewing/crocheting powerz!

And I apparently don't know enough about the 70s to know it hurts ^_^

haha, yeah, they're just (poorly) hand sewed on there (i didn't feel like bothering with the possible disaster that taking a sewing machine to this thing could result in, so tedious stitching it was!)
if anything the 70s were probabaly LESS painful actually...
they did a lot of drugs, probably dulled things just a little
