Road Trip: Part II

I decided to put a slightly different twist on this theme. I love that other people have picked up on it. I feel trendy and hip.

So, I have a whole playlist on iTunes called "Where in the world is..." where all the song titles reference real world locations.

Well, she sneaks around the world from Kiev to Carolina... )

"Philadelphia Freedom" was written in honour of the Philadelphia Freedoms soccer team, but it's really about American patriotism. Bernie Taupin is quite the Americaphile--he's been living in the US since the '80s.[/way too much trivia]

Haha, I love the Carmen Sandiego addition. I love Tom Waits and Dar Williams, so I decided to take everything else here as well, except Philadelphia Freedom because I already have it. :P

Man, I wish Carmen Sandiego was still on. How on earth did they make a geography game show interesting? Stealing the mp3 a la Carmen style for old time's sake.

I love making place-related playlists too lol. But I love you more for your shoutout to "Carmen Sandiego" - I was just talking about how that was my favourite game when I was a kid in another LJ comm lol. I still rock geography, btw especially now that I can travel to all those places myself if I want XD Thanks for the playlist!

Also a big fan of "Philadelphia Freedom" - I especially like the 2000 Grammys rendition featuring the Backstreet Boys XD
