What's Bush doing? Vetoing stem-cell research.

I guess he's never had a friend or relative with Parkinson's considering they have shown that they can cure it. Sorry Parkinson's patients! Sorry Huntington's disease patients! Sorry Alzheimer's patients! Sorry people with diabetes! ( Read more... )

I agree this is a symbolic trip, despite what Harper says...

On the other hand, if he dumped the media, AND his photographer, there'd be noone keeping an eye on Harper ... accountability or something (yeah, right...)

Yeah, the stem-cell thing really gets me, especially given I've lost two grandparents to Alzheimer's and have a pretty poor outlook on where my mother and I are likely going to follow. (I get the option of heart attack or slow death by Alzheimer's, if family history is any indication. YAY)
