if everyone already knew that Bush won, why are you so saddened that not everyone talked to you about it specifically? As long as everyone knew themselves why should it matter? Like you said we should just get on with our lives. We don't have to talk to you about how bush won. Does it have that much to do with you that everyone has to talk to you about it? And people can be angry that bush won and also saddened that kerry lost. It works both ways. and you don't know if Bush cheated the system or not, you weren't there to prove that.

well first of all id like to ask anyone else posting to put their name down. and lets go in order. had the election gone the complete opposite, i would have still liked to talk to everyone who is politically active at st thomas, just to recognize how much time was spent working and thinking over this election. i said in an earlier post that when the election was over i was going to shake ever opponent of mine's hand. that didnt happen because no one wanted any closer, they just wanted to be angry some more. it just seems strange to me thats all.
as for the election results, you're right there is a definite possibility that bush rigged the election to win by a land slide. of course there is not one shred of proof he did so lets drop that argument cause it has no weight

anything else? get at me

How do you know that there's no shed of proof. If they did it they obvioulsy would never share that with the people of america, let alone, scrape by a piece of evidence for anyone to pass along, because that would make him appear untrustworthy, and who would want that kind of president? You will never know what they do because you aren't there. You can't say something in fact when you aren't in the middle of it.

and yeah you may have wanted to shake everyone's hand and it may be dissappointing to you that they didn't, But you have to allow the emotion that comes with losing to pass. Like you said, something like, that it was an intense election you can't just expect people to get over it the next day. It's not just a baseball game, where the outcome doesn't matter, it's real life. Army drafts, people getting kept from entering/leaving the country, rights being taken away... the list goes on.

Alright dude, or chick, whoever you are. Great arguments but you don't even put your name, i mean that really shows how much you stand behind them. The election could have been rigged, are you serious, well under that assumption i guess they were all rigged so everyone who has lost should have won, don't put forth that crap. Before i go on, I did not vote for Bush and am not a Republican. Please look at America realistically, regardless the president we have nothing is really going to happen to this country that any other president could have control over. Kerry cares more about the poor, bush has better family values, there both going to get the job done the best way they know how. No president is going to wake up in the morning thinking hey how can i screw over the country. Stop your, and everyone else stop their bitching and moaning if your candidate lost, and to tell you the truth i would be more sad if i lost a big baseball game. Have a little faith in the AMerican people, and system of government, remember checks and ( ... )

this is wat im talkin bout. a thought out response. the honest and sometimes hard truth is that this election doesnt affect st thomas kids as much in policy as it does in title, meaning its more of an issue of dem or rep. thats ok of course.
thanks hodge for your post AND you name!!

I (james toomey) being a bush supporter, was pleased with the outcome of the election. However, had it gone the other way and had Kerry won, I wouldnt be going on to peoples live journals who were Kerry supporters and anonymously posting shit about how the election was rigged. In case you didnt notice, in Ohio and other states, Democrats were trying to vote numerous times under false names such as, "Dick Tracy." But apparently you dont watch the news. So how about you suck it up, and be a gracious loser, I know I would be had the election turned out differently. Also, try growing a pair and putting your name down instead of posting and then hiding from any possible retort.
