Description: Rory's last day at the Hartford Courant comes and goes as she juggles between her new assignment at the New York Times and acts as party planner for Lorelai's big baby shower. Meanwhile, Lorelai drives everyone to insanity with her new cravings and obsessions as she nears the end of her pregnancy.

Intriguing title! Neil Sedaka? Is he making a guest appearance like Paul Anka did? Can't wait to see what's in store with this episode.

Interesting teaser - Enjoyed the "previously..." section, and I know how important those are to the episodes, so I guess we're finally going to get some resolution in the Rory/Nate will they/won't they storyline...Yay! Looking forward to see how that plays out - regardless, I am glad you haven't rushed it. I just like reading their interactions. I'm also interested to see how things from the last episode play out - especially with Emily...hopefully she's included and is at the shower, which should also be lots of fun to read. Update soon please!

Wait....is Lorleai or someone else getting a cat and naming it Neil Sedaka? LOL I know you're not going to say, but I do love the title. Very intriguing.

Thanks Audi. I did notice after I posted that it looked like I could link directly to ff.net, so I did and read the teaser. Love it! Interested to see what's in store for Rory and Nate. Seems like aside from planning Lorelai's baby shower, she'll have time on her hands.

Oh! I had another Neil Sedaka spec. I keep thinking of the song he wrote (The Monkees recored it,) "When Love Comes Knocking At Your Door". Yeah, yeah, we have to wait and see. lol

This was just like watching an episode (from the golden GG days)!
I like the way Emily's involved, I like how Rory's portrayed and where she and Nate are heading. I was actually glad they didn't kiss right then. It fit the scenario, IMO.
I also love how you wrote the townies' involvement, especially Kirk's. It's so precisely them.
Scene spec: seeing all those light blue balloons, I kind of want Lorelai or Luke to blurt out: "How did you guys know?", thus accidentally confirming to the shower guests (and readers) that it's a boy!

That could indeed be a funny scene... if the sex of the baby was in fact a boy.
