Very interesting point of view. This would also mean that Debbie sees Lorelai as a threat? Maybe she did in fact come back to recapture her teen years... and found that her bubbly personality alone can't win the town back (although, seems she has) because there's another woman the town very dearly loves. That Luke loves...

Reminds me of "High Noon at the Town Square". Or how about "Food Fight at the Soda Shoppe"?

huh, i never looked at it like that..interesting...
liked segment three :D FINALLY she snapped..seems that it's only her hormones for now, nothing really happened, she was ticked off cause she thinks Debbie has a hold on everyone in SH lol...in some way that is true, Sookie called her 'our' Debbie..at the same time it's ridiculous, townies, Rory, Sookie, Luke, everyone loves her the same..noone is neglecting her..but you know how pregnant women react on these kind of things, and well Lorelai doesn't like 'competition'..

I think Luke probably felt insulted that she made it an issue, knowing full well that his loyalty lies with Lorelai and none other. In previous episodes (the past couple especially), it's clear that Luke did everything and anything Lorelai asked of him and if it were me, I would've probably cracked by the time she changed her order multiple times. This may have been a good release for him as well.
Hormonal swings that make you want to re-paint your house 50 times is one thing, and hormonal swings that make you jump to conclusions regarding your husband and a childhood (female) friend... is a whole other thing. Or at least, I think so.
