107 things to do in 2007

01. Update School of Indie, schoolofindie.blogspot.com, on a more regular basis -- at least weekly.
02. Have a snowball fight and build a snowman.
03. Find a playground to play in at dusk.
04. Go on vacation!
05. Get ‘S’ on all of my classroom observations.
06. Maintain my 4.0 GPA at Mercy.
07. Get Kinsey’s vaccinations completed, along with an annual exam.
08. Write more. Write poetry, short stories, nonfiction, anything at all. Just write.
09. Visit Philadelphia.
10. Go to the New York Aquarium on a field trip.
11. Go ice skating in NYC.
12. Visit Boston.
13. Take a hot air balloon ride.
14. Visit the beaches at Montauk.
15. Go back to Atlantic City --- and preferably win something once again.
16. Keep in touch with my sisters better.
17. Take Dan home with me to Virginia for a visit.
18. Wander around New York City with Jenzini Houdini.
19. Register to vote in New York City.
20. Get new copies of my birth certificate and social security card.
21. Go for an annual physical exam, and take care of my asthma.
22. Take vitamins and iron pill regularly -- this means daily.
23. Lose 25 lbs -- and keep it off for the whole year.
24. Pay off credit card debt. Do not add more.
25. Email my grandparents and Aunt Jenifer weekly rather than monthly.
26. Use my lunch to go for a walk at least twice a week.
27. Go to the top of the Empire State building at night.
28. Visit Ellis Island and find my relatives’ signatures and information and such.
29. Have every one of my students reach at least 2 of their IEP goals.
30. Move to an apartment with slightly more space, and less nosy landlords. Postponed till next year.
31. Explore the other areas of Astoria, besides just Ditmars.
32. Get a massage.
33. Burn Gilmore Girls, complete series, for my sister.
34. Do not have iPod lost or stolen or any other sort of disappearance.
35. Go to Nags Head for a weekend with my family. Cancelled due to having an overabundance of mono-caused absences.
36. Save at least $750.
37. Send birthday cards to my family and friends.
38. Learn how to use my SLR camera.
39. Close my Virginia checking account.
40. Take a picture a day. (Once the camera is here.)
41. Send postcards/cards to friends on a random yet regular basis.
42. Get a manicure.
43. Reach 15,000 songs on my computer.
44. Get a passport.
45. Go camping in the Catskills.
46. Get a pedicure.
47. Go to at least ten concerts.
48. Return all items that I rent or check out from various places on time.
49. See a Broadway play or musical.
50. Hang the remainder of the Christmas lights in my apartment.
51. Get a playmate for Kinsey. (Banned by landlord)
52. Tell everyone that I care about how great they are on a regular basis.
53. Read at least one fictional book a week.
54. Read at least one non-fictional book a month.
55. Go karaoke somewhere with friends.
56. Listen. I still need to work on this more.
57. Go back to Orient Point.
58. Do Pilates at least twice a week to help with my posture.
59. Get new curtains for my apartment.
60. See the Blue Man Group.
61. Freak out less.
62. Create a budget and stick to it.
63. Go to bed by 11:30PM on school nights.
64. See Shakespeare in the Park.
65. Eat less TV dinners. Cook more.
66. Cut down my time on the internet.
67. Call my mom at least three times a week.
68. Take a class that has nothing to do with teaching.
69. Eat at least 3 fruits and vegetables a day.
70. Buy presents for a kid on the BJ’s Angel Tree.
71. Re-read all the Harry Potter books.
72. Correct the address on my driver’s license.
73. Spend a few minutes in the morning and night thinking of all that I have to be grateful for.
74. See the Radio City Hall Christmas Spectacular.
75. Try something new every week.
76. Wake up when my alarm goes off. The first time.
77. Identify 100 things that make me happy.
78. Get my navel ring taken out.
79. Maintain a good relationship with my administration and paraprofessionals.
80. Donate blood.
81. Reduce the amount of trash that I produce.
82. Be aware of the moment. Be in the moment.
83. Learn to delegate better within my classroom.
84. Spend more time outdoors in the Spring and Summer.
85. Try to hang out with my SBU friends more frequently.
86. Ice skate around at Rockefellar Center.
87. Visit the Setauket house to see the consumers.
88. Don’t accumulate clutter. Don’t keep junk. Stay organized.
89. Go kayaking again!
90. Visit 12 places that I’ve never been in New York City.
91. Use my prep periods wisely --- time management, time management.
92. Learn some more Spanish words.
93. Do my laundry EVERY WEEK instead of letting it pile up.
94. Sign up for NaNoWriMo and actually do it.
95. Take a carriage ride through Central Park.
96. Play Final Fantasy XII and Kingdom Hearts 2.
97. Do a little something special for everyone I know who is graduating this year.
98. Maintain the excellent friendships that I have.
99. Learn some de-stressing techniques such as deep breathing exercises.
100. Be supportive of all the people about whom I care.
101. Get a surround sound speaker system for my computer.
102. Send care packages to my sister at college.
103. Surround myself with pictures, quotes, letters, cards that make me feel loved and inspired.
104. Keep up with the portfolios and paperwork at school.
105. Be less perfectionist and hard on myself about things.
106. Be myself. Never lose sight of who I am and all that means.
107. Write my 108 things to do in 2008 list.
