What I love most about this entry is the simple fact that I can read it out loud and it feels like I'mreading The Cat In The Hat out loud. Which amuses me far more than anything else. In fact, that may have been what sold me on this piece. Lol

:laughs: I hope that's a good thing. I just could NOT get this story idea out of my head this week. :)

Ooo Yay! More Poetry!

I really respect well done rhymes! Kudos! And cute and fun and draws on knowledge we all (most) have with the characters. Nicely done!

Thank you so much! I've read so much Dr. Seuss over the years that I find myself every once in awhile muttering a Seuss-ish rhyme under my breath just to cheer myself up lol.

I read him to death when I was a kid. He was always one of my favorite authors and probably will be for the rest of my life. :) Thank you so much!

I always figured I was in the minority in thinking the Cat was a big jerk. I hated the book when I was a kid and never read it to my kids. This was awesome. Glad to see the Cat get his comeuppance!

Yay I'm not alone!!! I just thought he was such an ass. I pictured what would happen if I had to tell my mom about his visit...yeah. He was an ass. Thank you for being on my side lol.

“I’m not gonna leave”
“You kooky old loner”
And he sat his cat ass
On the stool in the corner

Worth the price of admission, right there!

I'm guessing the Lorax didn't do much for you either. He was after my time, I think, but I do remember The Cat in the Hat. He always pissed me off, too-- yes, even when I was a kid. None of what he did in trashing the place was "fun" for those kids!

:laughs: My oldest daughter has been laughing about and repeating that line to me ever since she read it. That and the f word line lol.

I actually really love the Lorax but I pictured him being the bossy old sod in this piece :D None of what he did in trashing the place was "fun" for those kids!
Exactly!! Big jerk cat!!
