She'd met an old friend from Hogwarts for a drink but that had ended all rather quickly. Parvati had gotten in to a fight with her boyfriend and well, that was that.
She had thought to just leave when a man at the bar caught her attention. She could have sworn she'd seen him before.

She found herself smiling back. It was quite rare to find Marlow in a pub, especially alone. You would say that while she was social, she was only really open with her close friends. What made her think she could just go up to some random bloke and start a conversation was beyond her. In fact, it was highly unlike her.
But it could have had to do with what happened in Japan. The flames would never leave her memory- or the screams. You only live one life, she thought suddenly. And so she walked toward him.
"You look familiar," she said upon taking the seat next to him.

"Well, I'm a grad student at Painswick. Maybe that's where you've seen me?"
He sat back in his chair. It wasn't often he actually tried to flirt with someone, except for that blonde the week before. What was her name... Cecilia?
