I ask you (you meaning you) why Mike Leigh's new film HAPPY-GO-LUCKY left the Cleveland area so quickly? I also ask "you" why I didn't have the foresight to see the film before it's quick exit from the Clevetown and surrounding wastelands? Now, I must wait until it appears at the Cinematheque or, alas, on DVD.

This is, perhaps, the loveliest Tuesday in memory. Ah, not for poor Benet.  Last week, he was diagnosed with a bladder stone approximately one centimeter. The vet was not sure whether it was one that could be remedied by diet or surgery. Outside of the whines at litter-box time, stoic Benet has not shown any other signs of distrss*.
