I didn't go to the Atom thing because I thought it would be boring. How many people showed up? The Assassination was full, but I didn't think much of the film.

it was crowded, just like everything at innis, except for the mordecai richler double bill. couldn't care less about jesse james except for the nick cave soundtrack.

Also I'm glad you talked me out of the $$$$ voice recorder. I found out I can just record directly into the Mac with Garageband!

Any Jean Rollin flicks you recommend? Watched Grapes of Death a few weeks back and quite enjoyed the dreamy, slow pace of it.

i've been meaning to rent his for a while, thanks for the reminder! i've only seen a couple - two orphan vampires, which i like despite the bad rep it gets, i mean they kill a blind guy who's reading fangoria on the brooklyn bridge. only the french could make that beautiful.

i saw requiem for a vampire ages ago on a shitty bootleg, so i can't remember anything except a dungeon flogging scene that goes on forever.

oh, and zombie lake.

zombie lake it is!

i feel bad that i've never really seen his output before. the same with jesus franco. i think i'm missing out. especially the soledad miranda ones, which always looked great from the previews.
