Evidently you are aware of more of this story than I am. I, too, heard everything the Cardinal said, but did not arrive at the same conclusions you did. He did not mention his emissaries rendering Murdock torpid; therefore, I assumed that it was not the work of his men. This allowed the situation to become much graver in my eyes. I received no contact from Archbishop Murdock on the night of Esbat; however, lacking a definitive idea as to what had happened, I chose to investigate a bit myself. What I discovered was the likelihood that enemies of the Sword of Caine likely knew more about the Archbishop than they should…again, a result of lack of information leading to faulty conclusion.
I am aware of how resilient Murdock is…but I am not aware of who the Cardinal’s “men” are. Are you aware of this information?
