The Temple of Tzotziel

As you wander into the dig site, you find a series of catacombs. The
walls appear to have been carved with bas relief. As Gerhard peers
closer, he realizes that the stone was scratched by someone's
fingernails.

As he follows it, Gerhard realizes that he is viewing the history of
an Angel known as Tzotsiel, the Silent Death in the Darkness, and
angel of Death who Fell from grace because he fell in love with a
whore of an angel called Renzadriel. She convinced him to fall so
that Mankind would love him instead of avoid him. They didn't.

Tzotsiel decided that his role as Silent Death in the Darkness should
be maintained. He was the one responsible for slaying those members
of the herd (Man) who were alone and unloved. So, as his brothers
formed the Shadowlands, he formed The Abyss. It was his home and it
was wear things that Creation had no more use for went.

The story ends there, as Gerhard enters a large circular chamber. The
atmosphere here is heavy and oppressive, like a Shroud but moreso. He
realizes that the wall between the Abyss and the world of Men is thin
here. Even a Shroud of night could send one into the Abyss here.

The chamber is carved with symbols, ancient runes of summoning. It is
obvious that this place is where La Sombra first met the Fallen Angel
called Tzotsiel.

In the center of the room is a small pedestal, and on it is a scroll.

Unrolling the scroll, Gerhard finds, penned in (ooc pick some ancient
language you speak):

The Pact is sealed. The souls of my children and any who follow their
leadership in return for command over your home and the power of
shadows that will allow me to Judge the First vampire and his get."

It is signed in ancient blood: "Lucien the Shadow"

There is a second signature, in a golden liquid, which has been
obliterated. It would seem that the Fallen has cancelled the debt
owed by the children of Lasombra to him.

Gerhard, hands fully gloved, rolls up the parchment, encases it in
a protective shadowy sheath, and places it's protective "coccoon"
inside of his jacket. He will then proceed back to the surface to
reveal his find to his comrades, looking about the Runes before he
departs and saying to the thick air in measured, concise tones.

"I desired to be your blade."

He then departs the way he came in.
