Forgive me for pulling the one me-related thing out of your entire post on a different subject, but I'm really glad you came to the funeral and I'm glad that you found it moving. I myself couldn't have wanted a better tribute to my dad, so it makes me feel good that others who'd barely even met him felt something.

No forgiveness necessary. I should have liked to have written more on the subject of that event when it was fresher in my mind. The goodness God had stored up in your father poured forth from the people with whom he had shared it that day. That such a man should die before his time is one of the greatest tragedies that can occur in this world, and I shed tears on magic_snail's shoulder on account of it. Though I had perhaps only shook his hand in this life, I knew him that day in that gathered fellowship, and I'm looking forward to seeing him again face to face.
