But if we have pining/survivor guilt Neal we will have more canon!tears and hurt/comfort... like that is what I'm hoping for the beginning of season 2 and not just a Neal jump on Alex and fixate on her instead >_>

i think the part that annoys me is that it's going to be about kate though. D: i wish they had at least done like a flashback sequence or SOMETHING ANYTHING AT ALL to establish any sort of relationship. so far the show has been like ~THEY ARE IN LOVE OK. LOOK HOW HARD NEAL TRIES~ and expect us to swallow it.

i agree with the no neal/alex in season 2. >_<

but after reading fic, i've realized that i'm not as adverse to alex than i could be and i really hope the show develops her correctly instead of making her super flat and superficial like she's been so farrrr. :D

The writers have said said they would give us more back story in season 2 for Neal, Kate, and Mozzie including a whole episode with lots of Mozzie including where his nick name comes from :D (I'm a huge Mozzie fan too >_>)

I actually didn't dislike Alex she seemed more fun than Kate that's for sure! And they even tried to give her some *history* with Neal. I also don't think Neal and Alex had sex at any time during season 1 like I saw someone suggest O_o I liked that kink meme story too <3I just don't want to see Neal NOT pining/angsting over Kate without damn good reason because in my eyes her death this way will elevate her to sainthood in his eyes and until he has irrefutable proof that she was black mailing him (or whatever - I think she just got double crossed by fowler/big bad there) then he's going to think she died as a result of trying to save HIM... you know >_> guilt out the ying yang... so i can't believe he'd jump into ANYONEs bed after that without some grieving the way he's pined for Kate

OH MY GOD I LOVE MOZZIEEEEE he is adorable and i love all of his lines and his obvious concern and loyalty for neal and i'm super super excited to learn more about him!

i'm okay with a reasonable amount of angsting and grieving for sure--i definitely don't think it would be realistic for neal to grieve for one episode and then everything's back to normal; hell i'm okay with them stretching the grieving process across seasons--but i hope they'll be classy about it and kind of do it understatedly. like little gestures that just hit home and are like "oh my god, that hurts" and the people around neal acknowledging that he's not alright and just being there for him but giving him space when he wants it instead of like too much smothering, you know? idk ALTHOUGH I HAVE A FEELING THAT WHATEVER THE WC WRITERS GIVE US, I WILL PROB END UP LOVING ALL OVER ANYWAYS.

AND THE WRITERS BETTER GIVE US SOME DAMN GOOD BACKSTORY IN SEASON 2 AND CONVINCE US ABOUT KATE.
