HI. i'd like to apologize a million times over for being the worst and not answering a ton of the correspondence i've received over the last few weeks. i have--predictably /o\--once more been wallowing in a state of antisocial self-pity that i really refuse to indulge any longer because it is the start of A New Month! so uh, please be very ( Read more... )

i'm 'wallowing in a state of antisocial self-pity' every day of every year, so i understand. :D

biology+books=exciting! looking forward to you posting about them. :)

is Homeland any good? (tho maybe i shouldn't be asking you, i mean, you do watch teen wolf (yep, still judging :D).)

asdkflajsdf YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO LET ME LIVE THAT DOWN. you realize that this is just a challenge for me to trick you into watching teen wolf at some point RIGHT?

also homeland omg i've only watched the first episode & i'm halfway through the second but the plot is super intriguing and damian lewis's performance is fantastic. plus i enjoy crazy but highly competent control freak bitch characters so i really like the female lead too :D ALL IN ALL, WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND BASED OFF THE 1.5 HOURS I'VE WATCHED <333

I shall dig my way through the vast lands of pubmed on the hunt for the molecular cause for magnetoception in animals in the next weeks. XD

A NEW MONTH!! \o/

oooooo that sounds really interesting. i definitely feel like i've come across a paper about that sometime in the last year. it was either in science or nature, i think it was about birds, and i'm pretty sure it was a full paper, not just an editorial or commentary. if i still had university access, i'd try to go find it for you <3

Hee! Thank you! ♥

It's good to know that something at least exists. It's the first time I actually have to do something like that so it'll be a mess figuring out the technicalities. *g*

In fear of sounding like a groupie, just want to say that you're incredibly cool for being able to write well and also is a scienc-y person. I studied physiology, but pretty much don't know what I'm doing with my life anymore because of lack of interest. So reading about microbio/cell bio stuff will be both devastatingly intimidating and cool.

Will sorta just go back to the regularly scheduled lurking, now.

asdjfakdf what a flattering comment I WOULD LIKE TO COME OVER THERE AND HUG YOU <3

haha it's funny because 7 years ago i was convinced i'd be working in journalism/international relations................and then science happened. physiology is actually my favorite subject! it's cool getting to know the molecular mechanisms/biochemistry of things but to me it feels useless unless you know how it's all integrated into the big picture *_____*

i know what it's like to lose interest in things you used to love and i hope you find inspiration again <33

I keep hearing about Homeland, what's it about?

Ooh, biology and books post, looking forward to those (even though biology was never my strongest subject in high school, even though I loved it. idek.)

jkashdfauisdf I'VE ONLY SEEN THE FIRST THREE EPISODES BUT THEY'VE BEEN SO GOOD. *______* I'M SUPER IMPRESSED WITH DAMIAN LEWIS. from what i can tell it's about this crazy/highly competent cia agent who gets information years ago that an american prisoner of war had been turned. flash forward to the present and american operatives rescue a prisoner of war from an iraqi terrorist organization and he's hailed home as a hero. except the cia agent remembers the info she got years ago and she has to go about proving that he's actually a terrorist. WORST SUMMARY BUT EXCELLENT SHOW SO FAR, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED :D <3333

But antisocial self-pity is where all the cool kids hang out! Or at least that's what I keep telling myself.

Will be looking forward to your book posts. :)
