Being denied the right to purchase cranberry juice is just ridiculous. You should have gone to a supermarket and got a whole carton, then stood outside the pub drinking it while directing murderous glances at her. And when she looks at you, mouth the words, "This is your blood." Or something to that effect.

Luke and I were denied entry/service to an Irish pub because he didn't have his passport and only had his UK driver's license. He threw up a stink and stormed out, muttering about the "wankery Irish". I had to point out that that attitude was probably exactly why the Irish guy denied him in the first place. In fact, the Irish guy was probably muttering about the "wankery British" as Luke and I left.

I felt very ill-used as the "caught-in-the-middle Singaporean" who only wanted some Baileys chicken and Guinness.
