So yeah, I survived the last weekend, but ended up plagued. While I feel better, it's still not completely gone yet. Boo chest colds

I've been wrestling with Ubuntu a lot recently, and it would appear that the repositories lag behind other major Linux distros significantly, so if you want a lot of development tools running in harmony, you might want to go another way.

Well, I'm not doing a huge amount of development (yet), mostly having it act as a file/print/domain server instead of Windoze...

I'm thinking Fedora Core may be the way and the light.. I've been quite impressed with it lately.

I think you may be right; it's best to have options for where to go with a system.
