Yes, everything's fine here. Our new President has already been elected. Thursday was his inauguration. Yesterday was the funeral. It was amazing. Never before in history that many heads of states have been here in Austria, there were 25 Presidents and monarchs, among them all presidents of the neighbouring states and the Prince of Liechtenstein. The king of Sweden, President Putin, Princesse Anne of England, Prince Phillipe of Spain etc. President Bush was represented by the governour of California Schwarzeneger.

How are you. What are your plans for this summer. I have to learn but I'll again participate in the CMF.

He sure was a special person.. I always will remember his sad, petrified face when he had to sign in the government alliance between the Christdemocrats and Haider's party..
He was something like an Ersatz king for Austria, I think! I can well imagine him now, up there, exchanging courtesies and bows with Kaiser Franz Josef and all the other Royalties!

It's funny, almost the same thought was to be heard or read in the medias. And I also had the same thought. All our Presidents have been quite old. He was the fifth out of the seven Presidents of the second Republic who died before their period ended. I think that a monarchy fits more to the Austrian Soul.
