teen read week

or maybe it's teen reads week. i dunno. but if you have some good suggestions for YA reading that i can post at the library, bring it on. it's next week, so hurry. my youth services librarian is down for the count, so now it's up to me, and i don't have time to be creative, what with cabinet painting and admiring the new couch and such...

You mean besides the omnipresent Twilight saga? ;) We shall think on this.

And I would like to recommend Jackaroo by Cynthia Voigt. Voigt's well known in YA circles, but usually for more modern stuff, whereas this is kind of medieval. It's one of my favorites. Strong female character; action, adventure, romance; some good lessons to be learned, good writing.

Old school: Robert Heinlein juveniles. They hold up well, really!

Guess what? VH is coming back! If you're interested after all this time, come by and check out the 'testing' board.
