Birthing pains

Okay so I'm actually seriously toying with the idea of writing a fic. But. But being the operative word here. A thousand things that have tripped up my previous intents and attempts at doing fanfic and caused them to plunge headfirst into the murky unrelentlessly ravenous quicksand of entropy and be lost forever, are now strewn across my way.

You can't write a story and hope for it to be decent, without setting up a decent premise and backdrop that is believable. In writing a Homin fanfic, I need to: 1. write about Korean life, when I know next to absolutely nothing about Korean geography, culture, food, landmarks, and especially language; 2. think of some part of Korean life where my protagonists can fit into, which involves some kind of profession that I need to know enough of to make it convincing, or be able to make sound convincing at the very least (and I'm so not going to write about Homin as doctors because that is SO WRONG); and then 3. set up some kind of plot with a lovely beginning and a heart-breaking ending or somesuch, and as much as I love to write, I am absolutely rubbish at plots and conclusions.

So blah. BlahblahblahBLAH. I am pushing words and ideas around in my mind trying to make some kind of sparkly explosion of serendipitous alchemy that will create a story. But it's such a pain.

I'm going to read more fic, in an attempt to generate more sparks. LOL.
