There is something very sad about the end of summer - even if it is a beautiful day and not really ended yet. Today was the last day the pool will be open until next year. Actually went fairly well. Tour of office/introductions to other staff took an HOUR and half the office was not in today. I will be working Mon-Wed at least for the forseeable future, which is exactly what I wanted. Other people I met seem quite pleasant - some even stopped by to see how my day went as they left! Hot, homemade, delicious thanks to my very talented baker daughter who had to get up early to boil and then bake them. They are yummy!

They called yesterday afternoon and offered me the part time job I was hoping for. I am very pleased. Three seven hour days/week with some extra during the "Crunch" times. May have to travel up to three times per year which is not bad. Still have to work out the details of which three days, when I start, etc. but it is good.

So I finally broke down and went back to a Weight Watchers meeting. Didn't really like the old lady leading the meeting but will give her a week or two before I try a different meeting - maybe she was just having an off day.
