I refuse to give in to pessimism and despair, so I have to hope that Trump will be a better president than he was a presidential candidate. Hopefully, he'll surround himself with people who know what they're doing and maybe even occasionally listen to them.

It's a sad fact that we don't always get the outcomes we desperately want.

It is such a sad, demoralizing outcome. I'm glad you're refusing to give up. The work ahead of us just got a lot harder, so we need as many dedicated folks as possible.

I'm slowly putting together a list of organizations that support the issues I feel most strongly about. Political activism isn't something I'm terribly comfortable with but time to put that discomfort to one side.
