Garden

I'm planting the warm weather plants today:

flat leaf parsley
sage
mint
basil
strawberries
tomatoes
cherry tomatoes
Pumpkin
Watermelon

I confess that most of them were an impulse buy and not some Grand Plan.

Yeah, I read the gardening books and newspaper columns that talk about how you should plan your garden and figure out what you want to put where before you buy anything, and I just laugh.

We decided on Friday that it was just a bit too early to put in basil. We were probably wrong.

Watch out for the mint. It will take over every available square inch (and some that you didn't think were available) if you let it.

Then again, I might have jumped the gun since they predicted that this morning would see a frost. But we didn't, so maybe I'll luck out.

I plowed with a shovel and my fingers.
