Things accomplished

I mostly work from home and I also live alone. This does mean that I spend quite a lot of time on the sofa most days. And thus live in a continual state of guilt for not doing anything. Which is not quite true. So I think I'm going to try keeping a daily list of Things Accomplished which I can point to when my brain starts lying to me ( Read more... )

Definitely not nothing.

I think there's too much pressure these days to be superwoman, constantly achieving. It really doesn't matter so long as you're happy the way you are. Your writing and self publishing are a considerable achievement and you're brilliant at crafts as well!

There is pressure, mostly from myself, I think. Writing the list gives me 'permission' to relax properly, which is a thing I've been finding hard lately. I feel I should do more in a day so I stay up very late and then get into a bad spiral of being tired and not doing much. I'm going to try to break that.

I love the fact that you slide 'made a cardigan' in there along with things like done washing/washing up.

Making a cardigan for me would entail months and months of hard slog and would def not be oh here's a quick thing I knocked up when I didn't really think I'd done anything today.

You are brilliant.

It was sewn rather than knitted and took a couple of hours in the evening. Not a big job.
