i was shocked to find that my last post was made over a year ago. live journal is behaving very strangely. i can get my friends page and read my archive, but everything else is weird. maybe if i just post, i'll figure the rest out.

They did some kind of upgrade/update a while ago, and everything is pretty well borked now. I spend a good deal of time cursing the computer because of it.

I haven't had any problems but I'm still using the old interface, with my Flexible Squares custom layout.

Never mind, you probably can't see that. Under "Journal," there is link to "select journal style." You should be able to find "Flexible Squares" among the styles. At least you can in the old settings. If not, there should be a link to Journal Customization in the FAQ.
