Great job for a first fic! I loved the bit about Mal being the mayor of Serenity in his shiny hat. Jayne got Mal down to a tee there and it really made me giggle.

This was a really cute story and I enjoyed it a lot; good job! :)

This was so charming. I love Sam's confession about cursing (I especially thought both Simon's and Kaylee's reactions were true to form). Your Jayne voice worked quite well and I enjoyed this very much.

Thank you! Out of everything I was most unsure of my Jayne voice, so I'm happy to hear that it worked for you.

Also, I based Kaylee and Simon's reactions on the first time that my cousin and her husband heard their son curse. I may or may not have had some involvement in that incident, but I swear that it was entirely accidental : )

This was as adorable and fluffy as Sam's teddy bear. I love Daddy Jayne fics and having him tell stories is hilarious and you did very well with your Jayne voice. I hope you'll write more. Perhaps a series of bedtime stories. Some to Sam and baby girl and maybe some just for River....(shiver at the thought). :)Ali

Thank you! I'm so happy you liked it and that the Jayne voice worked for you. This was my first attempt at both Rayne and such extreme fluff so I was a little unsure.

Adult bedtime stories, you say? I might have to put a little thought into that. Or maybe a lot of thought...

Thanks so much! I wasn't sure how well it fit the spirit of the prompt but I'm happy that you liked it. The whole thing simply refused to leave my head until I wrote it.
