What kind of benefits do jobs have if you already get free medical insurance?
Also, does the free medical insurance also include dental care and vision care? Here, it's three different insurance companies for those things. And related, do you get unlimited medical benefits at 100% for everything? Or do you have to pay part of the costs sometimes?
Health care isn't "free" in Canada. If you don't get it through work then you have to pay montly so that any basic doctors/hospital visits or xrays and stuff you need are covered. Anything else such as medication or shots or specialists including dental and optical are extra and have to come out of your own pocket.
Oh wow. I always thought that everyone in Canada get free medical insurance for everything, pretty much at 100% unless it's a rare procedure or something. Crazy how little I know about Canada.
if you are unemployed or on welfare you probably don't have to pay anything monthly.. thats for the working folk. I think that's the biggest main difference between Canada and USA Healthcare. Nobody here dies because they can't afford life saving surgery. Nobody gets turned away at the emergency room because they can't pay a huge bill.. that gets taken care of for them.
